WHAT YOU NEEDED
SQUARE ONE: 246
page 246: Riddle and Tabula Ænigmatis
Decoding the Tabula Ænigmatis
6 steps or stages
Step 1: Working with the decks
The Extra cards are telling what numbers belong to the latitude and the longitude. The roman numerals have to be converted to numbers.
The cutouts on the tuckboxes will help to find the right card. In each group only one card has a set of symbols that can be seen through the opening if in the right orientation. In the following examples: Ace of Hearts for Solis, and 7 of Diamonds for Lunæ.
Once you have all the symbols, you can move to step 2.
Step 2: Working with the Astrolabe
The astrolabe attached to the leather cover is surrounded by embossed graphics with symbols and numbers.
Here is how we extract a number from each card.
In the following example we extract Solis I, therefore Ace of Hearts.
The procedure is repeated for all the cards in the list.
Step 3: Working with the book
The extracted numbers are the pages of the book. On those pages a special symbol can be found.
The following image shows the set of symbols from I to VIII.
Step 4: Jigsaw puzzle with all the cards
To find the IX and X you need to spend time and assemble the map using the cards. All 56 Solis cards and all 56 Lunæ cards form the same map, but there are details that need to be spotted. This means that 2 jigsaw puzzles had to be made. Having the uncut sheet of both decks speeds up this step a little.
Step 5: Putting everything together
A total of 10 symbols have been found, and they have to be distributed in the right position as described in Step 5 of the Tabula Ænigmatis.
Step 6: Decoding the glyphs
Described as "ethereal plane" in the riddle at page 246, step 6 has to be interpreted/decoded as www.stockholm17.com/eo
The missing page shows how to decode all the symbols and find the coordinates of the Eye of the Ocean.
